Bikas Mishra is a Mumbai-based filmmaker. His debut feature Chauranga won the Grand Jury Prize at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles and was awarded Best Indian Feature at the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) in 2014. His short film Naach Ganesh (Dance of Ganesha) screened at leading international festivals including Clermont-Ferrand, IFFR, and Busan.
A former film critic, Bikas was invited to serve on the Visionary Jury of the Critics' Week at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012.
His latest feature, Bayaan (2025), is set to premiere in the Discovery section of the Toronto International Film Festival.
